Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel fell well short of expectations last season, but don’t plan on more of the same in 2010.
Head coach Todd Haley believes Cassel is set for a breakout season because he has a better supporting cast.

The Kansas City Chiefs defense is looking to put more pressure on the quarterback in 2010.
Specifically, the Chiefs want to be getting to the quarterback and accumulating sacks, something they think is possible under new defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel.
The Chiefs recorded just 10 sacks in 2008, by far the lowest in the NFL and an embarassing total.
They made some progress last year, more than doubling their sack total all the way up to 22.
Crennel will certainly help, but it’s going to be tough to see too much improvement when the team made no significant upgrades to its front seven in the offseason.
