Chiefs stick with Crennel as head coach

The Kansas City Chiefs have removed the interim tag and named Romeo Crennel their next head coach.

Crennel made himself known while coaching the Patriots defense and helping them to three Super Bowl victories.

That earned him a shot as a head coach with the Cleveland Browns, but like others before him, it didn’t go well and he was fired.

Crennel landed with the Chiefs as defensive coordinator and took over as interim head coach after the team fired Todd Haley.

The Chiefs went 2-1 to finish out the season under Crennel, including a stunning victory over the Green Bay Packers.
