Crennel made himself known while coaching the Patriots defense and helping them to three Super Bowl victories.

That earned him a shot as a head coach with the Cleveland Browns, but like others before him, it didn’t go well and he was fired.

Crennel landed with the Chiefs as defensive coordinator and took over as interim head coach after the team fired Todd Haley.

The Chiefs went 2-1 to finish out the season under Crennel, including a stunning victory over the Green Bay Packers.

It was a game where the Chiefs literally could do no right, and the loss was particularly shocking since it came at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kansas City’s defense was a total embarassment, surrending three touchdown passes to quarterback Matt Moore.

The offense couldn’t move the ball at all, and they had to resort to almost all passing in the second half after falling behind by double digits.

The amazing thing is that the Chiefs are somehow still in a first place tie in the wild AFC West, so not all hope is lost.

A few teams, including the Baltimore Ravens, recently inquired about Hali’s availability and were turned away.

The Ravens know all too well how good Hali is after watching him pick up two sacks in last year’s playoff game.

The first round pick from back in 2006, Hali has only missed one game and registered 41.5 sacks in his career.

He is the leader of a group of young, talented defensive players that the Chiefs are looking to build around.

Zorn’s coaching career has hit some very rough patches over the past two seasons to say the least.
 
He was fired at the end of 2009 as Washington’s head coach only to be terminated a year later as Baltimore’s quarterbacks coach.
 
To be fair, Zorn was simply not ready to be a head coach and the Redskins’ problems were more the fault of the front office.
 
In Baltimore, it seemed that Zorn’s West Coast background simply conflicted with the offensive philosphy of coordinator Cam Cameron.

The Chiefs were dominated in time of possession, especially when it came to the first and fourth quarters.

Kansas City benefitted from a long touchdown run from running back Jamaal Charles, but there was little else to cheer about.

The Chiefs turned the ball over five times, which included three interceptions and two lost fumbles.

Quarterback Matt Cassel seemed overwhelmed by the pressure he faced from the Baltimore defense.

Weis will become the offensive coordinator at Florida, which is an interesting move because it does seem to be a downgrade for him.

Rumors have started to fly that Weis did not have an amicable relationship with Chiefs head coach Todd Haley.

Haley an offensive-minded coach who may have tried to have too much influence over the gameplan.

Despite the problems between the two, Kansas City has enjoyed a lot of success on the offensive side of the ball this year.

It was a tough day for Kansas City, which was without starting quarterback Matt Cassel because of an appendectomy.

Backup Brodie Croyle got the start, and he couldn’t get much going against the NFL’s top defense.

He threw for just 40 yards and was even replaced at one point by third-string quarterback Tyler Palko.

As a whole, the team managed under 70 yards of total offense in an absolutely miserable performance.

After things were still close at halftime, the game got even closer in the third quarter following a Seahawks touchdown.

With just a four point lead, the offense went to work and the Chiefs never looked back the rest of the way.

Quarterback Matt Cassel tossed four touchdown passes, three of which went to wide receiver Dwyane Bowe.

The Chiefs rolled up over 500 yards of total offense, and the balance with which they accomplished that was very impressive.

Kansas City couldn’t defend the big throw down the field, as two lead to both the game-tying and game-winning field goals for Oakland.

The Chiefs had big problems running the ball against one of the worst run defenses in the entire NFL.

Thomas Jones wasa completely non-factor while Jamaal Charles didn’t get nearly enough carries.

The Chiefs tried an onside kick to start off the game but didn’t recover, giving Indianapolis an easy three points.

Kansas City later went for it on fourth-and-two deep inside Colts’ territory and did not get a first down, costing them another three points.

There was also two costly drops by wide receiver Dwayne Bowe, including one in the corner of the end zone.

The good news is that the Chiefs were still competitive on the road against a good team that needed the win.
